RFQ file checklistMSTFAB fabricates empty steel, stainless steel and aluminum enclosure shells to your released drawings.
Mechanical scope only. The buyer installs and validates electrical equipment and owns final equipment certification.

Every image below shows our fabrication scope: the metal shell, doors, panels, mounting plates and specified mechanical hardware. Internal electrical components are supplied and installed by the buyer.

Empty wall-mount boxes with customer-defined button holes, display cutouts, gasket lands and blank mounting plates.

Floor-standing or wall-mounted steel shells with reinforced frames, doors, plinths and empty component mounting space.

Sloped console housings with HMI openings, access doors, welded bases and removable service panels.

Compact panel housings with touchscreen cutouts, button openings, rear covers and controlled gasket contact surfaces.

Outdoor cabinet shells prepared with rain hoods, louvers and customer-defined cooling-unit cutouts. Cooling equipment is not included.

Multi-door switchboard shells with welded frames, cable-entry bases and blank mounting plates. Electrical gear is not included.

Weatherproof cabinet shells with gasketed doors, empty rack space, ventilation and protected cable entry.

Empty industrial control cabinets with aligned doors, reinforcement, plinths and galvanized mounting plates.

Empty rack structures with perforated doors, removable panels and customer-specified rail depth. Servers and cabling are not included.

Stainless or powder-coated roadside cabinet shells with rain protection, shelves and service access.

Empty outdoor battery cabinet shells with modular trays, ventilation and weather-protected access. Batteries and inverters are not included.

Custom weatherproof steel, stainless or aluminum housings with gasket lands, rain edges and protected openings.
The same fabrication steps can lead to very different acceptance criteria. Name the mating part and drawing datum before comparing enclosure quotations.
Drawing must identifyDisplay bezel, button layout, panel thickness and front-face datum.
Evidence to agreeCutout measurement and first-article fit using the approved bezel or gauge.
Drawing must identifyBackplate, rail and door-swing datums plus cable-entry clearance.
Evidence to agreeMounting-pattern measurements and a door and plate fit check after finishing.
Drawing must identifyGasket route, drainage, louver direction, gland plate and service clearances.
Evidence to agreeMechanical interface checks; an IP rating requires the responsible party's agreed test, not a photo of a gasket.
Drawing must identifyRail spacing, mounting depth, removable-panel access and equipment envelope.
Evidence to agreeRail and opening measurements plus a representative assembly-fit check.
These are RFQ checkpoints, not claims of completed tests. Put the required record, sample size and acceptance authority in the approved order scope.
A useful quote needs more than a box size. Share the details that control fit, appearance and assembly so the review focuses on the risks that matter.

RFQ file checklist ↗Define material grade and thickness, critical tolerances, hardware, exposure, finish and protected surfaces.
Compare materials ↗We review bend access, weld seams, cutouts, gasket lands and drawing-defined inspection points before quoting.
See enclosure DFM ↗Agree on a sample or first-article review, production checks and protective packing before release.
Review packing ↗Include with your RFQ Drawing files and revision, material and thickness, critical tolerances, finish, quantity and packing needs.
Send drawings for reviewGood enclosure sourcing is mostly the art of removing surprises before the parts reach receiving inspection.
No. We fabricate the empty sheet metal shell, doors, panels, mounting plates and specified mechanical hardware. The buyer or panel builder installs and certifies the electrical components.
Yes, when your controlled drawings define the required mechanical construction, material, spacing, bonding provisions and environmental details. Final certification of the assembled equipment remains with the responsible OEM, panel builder or certification body.
A 3D STEP file plus a 2D drawing is ideal. DWG, DXF and PDF are also accepted. Include material, thickness, finish, quantity, critical tolerances and packing requirements.
Yes. We can review a prototype or first article before controlled repeat production, with inspection evidence matched to the agreed drawing requirements.
The catalog helps you choose a form factor. The released drawing and quotation define the actual metalwork, interfaces, finish and inspection scope for your order.

Confirm the cabinet body, door, removable panels, mounting plate and specified passive hardware. Electrical parts, wiring and finished-equipment certification are outside the shell scope unless separately agreed.
Identify the display opening, rail spacing, door swing, gland plate or gasket route relevant to the shell. Agree which features need a sample or first-article fit check.
Put the selected finish, any long-term finishing partner, protected surfaces and export packing requirements in the approved order scope.
Attach one file, up to 10 MB (STEP/STP, DXF/DWG, PDF, ZIP, or an image). Include material, quantity, and finish details for an accurate quote.
