From the MSTFAB factory floor

Sheet Metal Fabrication Video Library

Watch cutting, bending, welding and enclosure assembly on the MSTFAB shop floor, from drawing review to finished shell.

From video to specification

Choose the next step for your enclosure project.

See the fabrication process, then choose the enclosure closest to your project. Your approved drawings define the material, interfaces, tolerances and inspection requirements.

Supply boundary: MSTFAB manufactures drawing-based mechanical enclosures and sheet metal parts. Buyer-installed electrical components, software and final equipment certification remain outside the fabrication scope unless specifically agreed in writing.

Sheet metal fabrication videos from the factory floor

Use these process videos to assess manufacturing fit, then review the detailed laser cutting, sheet metal bending and welding scopes. The notes below identify drawing requirements and inspection questions for each process. They are review prompts, not measured results from the videos.

Punching review: Define hole positions, slot sizes, edge distances and the permitted burr condition. Agree which dimensions will be checked against the drawing before repeated parts are released.

Enclosure workflow review: Match the part number and drawing revision across cutting, forming and joining. Identify mating faces, removable panels and any dimensions that must be checked after assembly.

Assembly review: Specify fastener type, hole size, installation side and tool access. For doors and covers, agree fit checks and any required torque or retention verification before production.

Finishing review: Mark visible faces, edge treatment and areas requiring protection. Agree the appearance reference and finishing scope; footage alone does not establish coating thickness or adhesion.

Laser-cut panel review: Confirm material grade, sheet thickness, cutout dimensions and edge condition. Identify critical holes and slots for dimensional checks before the panel moves to bending.

Weld review: Define joint locations, access, weld requirements and acceptable distortion. Agree the inspection method and acceptance criteria for the actual assembly; a visible weld is not a test report.

Process-sequence review: Identify which features are controlled in the flat pattern and which need checking after bending or welding. Keep the approved revision and inspection datums consistent through the route.

Formed-part review: Check flange lengths, bend angles, hole positions and mating gaps against the finished-part drawing. Include door movement and removable-panel fit where those interfaces affect assembly.

Finished-enclosure review: Specify the alloy, finish, masking areas and hardware interfaces. Agree how visible surfaces will be checked and protected in packing; do not infer a material grade or coating specification from appearance alone.

Press-brake review: Confirm bend radius, flange geometry, tool clearance and bend sequence. Define the final angle and critical dimensions on the drawing, then agree first-article checks before repeat production.

Factory footage, buyer checks

See the process. Agree the checks.

These MSTFAB clips show how sheet metal parts move through cutting, bending, joining and finishing. Choose a stage to see the footage and the details your team should confirm against the approved drawing before production.

Evidence boundary: Factory footage helps you review manufacturing capability. Your approved drawings and agreed inspection records define acceptance for your order.
